Every character starts as a Novice. At level 10, choose one permanent core class by using the Class Tome provided by its guardian: Fighter from Enok, Mystic from Angela, or Bandit from Sally.
Core Classes

| Class | Main stat | Intended weapons | Playstyle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fighter | Strength | Blades, Maces, Greatblades, Hammers, Polearms | Melee pressure, blocking and physical skills |
| Mystic | Mind | Scepters, Bells | Elemental magic, ranged control and support |
| Bandit | Dexterity | Katars, Bows, Shotguns | Mobility, critical hits and ranged/fist attacks |
Weapons are not hard-locked by class, but class skills and armor requirements reward matching the intended damage stat.
Level 28 Subclasses
Subclasses are still work in progress. Three of the planned six are currently playable:
- Paladin (Fighter): early holy/support specialization; only part of its planned skillbook exists.
- Bishop (Mystic): healing and holy damage with skills such as Healos, Shadow Ward, Chroma Ray and Genesis.
- Magus (Mystic): offensive shadow magic with Ruin and Haste.
- Fighter's Berserker and Bandit's Rogue/Engineer names have been discussed as development concepts but are not playable completed subclasses.
Current subclass tomes require level 28 and are obtained through the temporary Mad Statue/Experience Bond route. The method may change during Early Access.
Mystic and Mage Build Notes
For a standard Mystic, invest primarily in Mind and use Mind Mastery with Scepters or Bells. Cross now scales its Magic Defense reduction with Mind. The 12026 update reclassified Recovery and Siphon Leech as Vitality skills, so Siphon Leech is no longer a reason to stack Mind by itself.
- Bishop: best for healing, group support and holy damage.
- Magus: best for offensive spell pressure and shadow damage.
- Magilord vs Sapphite: Magilord is Mystic-restricted rare class armor; Sapphite is common level-18 gear usable by any class. Choose by actual stat and skill-bonus rolls, not the set name alone.
Can You Reset a Class?
Core class and subclass choices are intended to be permanent. Tome of Unlearning resets Skill Points, and Tome of Naivety resets Attribute Points, but neither changes class. Creating another character is the fully supported way to try another class.
Community save editing can alter class data, but it is unsupported and can corrupt progression or conflict with Steam Cloud. Back up the full profileCollections folder first and read the Save Editor and backup guide.
