Trial of the Stars is an optional vertical parkour zone connected to Wall of the Stars. Its current reward route is tied to Craig's level-15 quest, Up and Over It.

How to Unlock the Trial

  1. Progress far enough to reach Wall of the Stars through Gate of the Moon.
  2. Reach level 15 and speak to Craig in Wall of the Stars.
  3. Accept Up and Over It. Since version 102025.a1, the Trial portal is not accessible until this quest is accepted or completed.
  4. Use the portal on the wall outcrop to enter the Trial.

Objective and Rewards

Climb the tower, open the chest at the summit and take the Epic Carrot back to Craig.

  • Achievement: Scaling the Stars, awarded for reaching the top.
  • Quest rewards: 5,790 EXP, 500 Crowns and Agility Ears.
  • The Epic Carrot chest only supplies the quest item while Up and Over It is active.

Checkpoint Rules

There are four checkpoint stages and portals at the tower base. Activating a checkpoint lets you return to that stage after falling, but checkpoint progress is not preserved when you leave the zone. Plan to finish the Trial in one session.

Obstacle Guide

First Section

Use double jumps and an air dash for the first large gaps. White star traps emit a warning sound and pulse before their knockback wave; wait for a pulse, then cross during the safe interval.

Second Section

This is the longest part. It combines narrow walkways, wall spikes, moving blade traps and star pulses. Do not rush multiple trap cycles. Stop on safe platforms, listen for the star cue, and move one obstacle at a time.

Third Section

Large spike rows look intimidating but follow predictable cycles. Watch one complete cycle before entering, then cross decisively rather than stopping between spikes.

Final Section

The last stretch mixes earlier hazards and narrow winding paths. Save stamina for air correction near the spinning spike trap. Camera control matters more than raw speed.

Class and Movement Tips

  • Bandit's triple jump gives extra horizontal reach, but every class can finish the Trial.
  • Fighters and Mystics should practice double jump into air dash and ledge grab.
  • Reduce camera sensitivity if narrow ledges are causing overcorrection.
  • Do not leave the instance after activating checkpoints; leaving resets them.
  • If a star trap repeatedly knocks you off, use its audio cue instead of reacting only to the visual pulse.
